Rescue integrates emergency service for all states

LAHORE: Punjab Director General Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Dr Rizwan Naseer has urged the rescuers to maintain standards of the emergency service.

After his return to Rescue 1122, he made his first address to all officials of the headquarters and rescuers of district Lahore, here on Friday. He also directed officials to regularly exercise and improve knowledge to ensure physical and professional fitness. He asked officials to organise regular exercises and take counselling sessions for timely redress of grievances of the staff.

He said that Rescue 1122 had set new standards of service delivery and was an integrated emergency management model for all other provinces and the SAARC countries. He said that Rescue 1122’s ambulance, rescue and fire services must ensure the standards set by the pioneers of Rescue 1122.

He said that the service structure was expected to be approved by end of this year and the government had also approved the replacement of old ambulances of Lahore.
