143 new dengue cases confirmed in Karachi

As many as 143 more dengue fever cases were reported across the Karachi city in last 24-hours, taking the reported cases toll to 13,797 since 1st Jan 2019. Spokesman Prevention and Control Program for Dengue (PCPD) Sindh, , while talking to PPI, informed that at least 152 new dengue fever cases emerged throughout the Sindh province in a day, out of which 143 were detected in Karachi and nine in other districts. A total 39 people had been died due to dengue fever in Sindh government and private sector health facilities of the city this year so far. In November, a total of 5,260 dengue positive cases surfaced across the province out of which 4,821 were confirmed from Karachi and 439 from other districts.

In 2019, a total of 14,814 dengue cases were detected in Sindh province so far out of which, 13,797 happened in Karachi and 1017 in other districts.
