Personality means the set of qualities that makes a person distinct from the other. Qualities that emerge within the growing age of children make up the child’s personality and this whole process in which external factors impact the personality of the child is known as child personality development.

Sadly, the world in which we are living today has become very competitive where it has become very crucial to stand out from the rest and be unique to progress. However, the focus of our institutions is just on grades and marks.

The roles played by these institutions have great significance over a child’s personality development but there are many areas other than academics that go neglected due to the current learning model.

Learning institutions are the second home for children. Child personality development depends not only on the parental upbringing but also on the way they are evolved in their school, college and university lives. Imparting just the bookish knowledge makes the student insecure when it comes to challenging the competitive world.

In my opinion, the role of these institutions is to make the children self-confident and motivated towards their prime goals instead of making them bookworms.

These institutions must focus on both the academics as well as co-curricular activities to enhance their thinking ability and it has got to be worked out at the root level to bring the best out of them. Institutions should help the development process of a child in a way that he/she becomes socially, morally, and ethically progressive in the need of the hour.
