Dengue fever cases rise to 102 in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh Health Department says 102 cases of dengue fever were reported in Karachi this week, higher than last week’s 75 cases.

According to Dengue Prevention & Control Program, Health Department Sindh, these cases were reported during Oct 14, 2016 to Oct 21, 2016.

“Karachi District Central is most affected with 32 fresh cases, 21 in East, 16 in South. In Malir there were 14 cases whereas in Korangi 12 new cases were reported. 6 cases were also resported in West district,” reported added.

According to Dr Masood Solangi, head of Dengue Prevention & Control Program, Health Department Sindh, apart from Karachi, Tharparkar remained most affected district with 37 new cases.

Hyderabad also faced 15 new cases during last one week, he added.
