LAHORE: Former Punjab governor and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said on Saturday that the party would not retreat even an inch from its demands.
He said, while talking to the media personnel at his office, that if the government attempts to forcibly stop the November 2 protest, it would be a political suicide.
According to Sarwar, free and fair accountability will bring revolution in country and the ruling party’s tactics were not going to work because the constitution gives everyone the right to protest.
The rulers want to run government not the country but both cannot work in presence of corruption. Financial policies of government have also been failed as testified by the State Bank, he said.
He further said that the PTI does politics of morality and principles and will make any sacrifice for transparency and accountability in the country, however, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has been using delaying tactics in accountability – which only escalates their problems.
