The High-Powered Selection Board has recommended promoting 23 officers of different cadres to grade 22.
Sources said that a meeting of the board was held on Saturday, chaired by Prime Minster Imran Khan. The meeting recommended promoting 23 officers to grade 22. The board recommended to promote Federal Health Secretary Dr Allah Bakhsh Malik, Fazeel Asghar, Ali Raza Bhutta, Javed Akbar, Afzal Latif, Babar Hayat, Main Waheedud Din, Ali Shahibzada, Daud Ahmad and Inamullah Durejo.
Similarly, the board recommended promoting three officers of Pakistan Audit and Account Service. The officers are Shahid Gul Quershi, Ikram Khan and Farrukh Ahmad Hamadi. The board has also recommended promoting incumbent Secretary Information Zahida Perveen to grade 22. Sources said two officers from Police Service of Pakistan have also been promoted.
The prime minister is likely to give final approval of the promotions on Monday, following which the Establishment Division will issue a notification as well as new postings.
