KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari paid tribute to Begum Nusrat Bhutto on her 5th death anniversary.
The ‘Mother of Democracy’ was honoured as she sacrificed her whole family for democracy and rights of the people of Pakistan.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Bilawal said that Begum Nusrat Bhutto fought valiantly against the most horrible dictatorship in Pakistani history. He said that all the jiyalas stood by her resistance to the dictatorship – following the overthrow Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s elected government.
Bilawal said that the party workers will be paying homage to Begum Nusrat Bhutto on her 5th death anniversary as the PPP will never forget her struggles against the dictatorial regime.
