LAHORE: Justice Ayesha A Malik of the Lahore High Court (LHC) Friday while hearing a petition challenging the Hajj policy 2017 summoned the Hajj director.
The court ordered the director to appear on June 29 with a reply to the petition. Counsel for the petitioners Muhammad Azhar Siddique submitted that the government had flouted the orders of the Supreme Court while allocating the Hajj quota. He said that the Hajj quota should be allotted on the recommendations made by the Competition Commission of Pakistan in its report keeping in view the economy of financial packages offered, quality of management and services provided.
