Era of political malpractices in Pakistan is over: Usman Buzdar

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday said the era of political corruption in Pakistan is over and honest leadership will now take the country out of trouble.

The CM said in his statement that the masses were befooled by former governments in name of development projects and their basic problems were neglected. “The PTI government inherited poor economic condition and the previous governments were responsible for it. The incumbent government is taking effective measures to overcome the challenges… The economy is stabilizing owing to PTI’s solid policies. Progress and prosperity are basic rights of all citizens of Punjab. No one will be allowed to halt the journey of development from now onwards.”

Meanwhile, a delegation led by Minister Industries Balochistan Haji Muhammad Khan Utmankhail called on Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office and discussed matters of mutual interests. Usman Buzdar accepted the invitation of visiting Loralai and said, on the occasion, that hearts of the people of Punjab and Balochistan beat in unison. People of Balochistan and Punjab are heart and soul to each other, he added. He said that people of Balochistan province will also benefit from the establishment of DG Khan Institute of Cardiology and added that Rescue 1122 service will be set up to transfer patients of Balochistan from the border areas of Koh-e-Suleman to DG Khan. The construction of Taunsa-Loralai dual carriageway will open new economic avenues, he said. A system of storing hill-torrents’ water is being devised in Koh-e-Suleman area by setting up two big dams. The government will take other provinces along in the journey of development and special attention has been paid to removing the deprivations of backward areas, he further said. Usman Buzdar also apprised the delegation about the development agenda of the Punjab government and the delegation appreciated his efforts.

MPAs meet CM

Members of the provincial assembly from different districts called on Chief Minister Usman Buzdar at his office and apprised him about the problems of their constituencies. The chief minister issued instructions for the solution of their problems. Talking to them, he said that people were deceived in the name of development projects in previous tenures and fundamental problems were, altogether, ignored. In fact, the reason for Pakistan’s backwardness is corruption and inefficiencies of the past rulers. However, the politics of loot and plunder is over, he added. He inquired that those who made the country a hostage of loans cannot claim of leading the nation. Now, the leadership and the government are totally transparent and honest. The PTI government inherited the bad economic situation and the past government is responsible for it. He said that the government is taking effective steps and economic situation is being improved because of the solid policies of the PTI government. The past misdeeds are being rectified one by one, he said. Usman Buzdar said that development and prosperity is the right of every citizen and no one will be allowed to interrupt the journey of public service. The journey has been started under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan to achieve the goals of a new Pakistan and midnight oil is being burnt to come up to the expectations of the people. The PTI government is rectifying the mistakes spanning over 70 years and the government will improve the quality of life of the indigent strata. He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s mission of corruption-free Pakistan has become the voice of the nation. The assembly members are my power in the mission of transforming Punjab as an exemplary province, he said. Usman Buzdar reiterated that there is no place for corruption or corrupt elements in the new Pakistan and added that the government is serving with true passion. Targets will be achieved through the implementation of public welfare programs, he added. Those who called on the chief minister included Muhammad Amir Nawaz Khan, Raja Sagheer Ahmed, Amjed Mehmood Chaudhary, Muhammad Latasab Satti, Chaudhary Sajid Mehmood, Javaid Kausar, Muhammad Atif, Muhammad Sibtain Raza, Shahabuddin Khan, Sardar Muhammad Owais Dreshak, Mst. Ummul Baneen Ali, Syeda Farah Uzma and Chief Whip Syed Abbas Ali Shah.

Meanwhile Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has congratulated 13 years old Syed Imad Ali on winning junior world scrabble championship. In a statement, he said that Imad Ali has brought laurels home and the whole nation is proud of him. He proved that Pakistani children are talented and intelligent and I pray for his further successes, concluded the chief minister.

Encounter:

Chief Minister Punjab has announced an impartial inquiry of police encounter in Kot Mubarak area of DG Khan. In this regard, the spokesman of the Punjab government has announced that genuine facts will be gleaned through this inquiry adding that concerned DSP (Saddar) Riaz Bukhari, SHO PS Kot Mubarak and SHO PS Shah Saddar Deen have been removed from their reports and directed to report police lines to ensure impartial and independent investigations. Orders have been given to hold judicial inquiry along with departmental investigations and Additional IG (Internal Accountability Branch) Azhar Hameed Khokhar is holding the department inquiry, concluded the spokesman.
