Detailed report of ‘Karachi Targeted Operation’ issued

KARACHI: Police has issued Karachi Targeted Operation’s detailed report – of past three years that commenced on September 5, 2013, a local TV channel reported.

According to the report, law enforcement personnel had 4,562 encounters with terrorists and criminals and confirmed the killing of 1,499 criminals, arrests of 101,761 – including 367 terrorists, 38 kidnappers, 10 extortionists and 1,084 dacoits.

Officials confirmed through the reports that the total arrests made during these three years were of 1,241 terrorists, 2,785 murderers, 143 kidnappers, 654 extortionists, 3,964 dacoits and 15,345 wanted criminals. Moreover, the recovery of 22,115 weapons and 23 suicide jackets were also confirmed during these reports.
