Sir: A couple of days back, a Pakistani airline, Serene Air, started its operations with three Boeing aircrafts.
I applaud it as a great initiative by a private company to serve the nation. It has been granted a license only for domestic purposes for the next two years by the PCAA and would, hopefully, soon develop to serve international airs.
To operate internationally, the airline requires at least five aircrafts. At present, however, Serene would start its flights between Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Peshawar and Multan. I hope that this marvellous opportunity would help lessen the menace of unemployment while also increasing our revenue and boosting our economy. Pakistan should launch more airlines on domestic routes to ensure that these air carriers would benefit passengers with lower fares and an improved quality of service.
