Having sparkled in several different lead roles across television, actress Mira Sethi is currently charming audiences across the country as ‘Shama’ in mega serial ‘Dil Banjaara’ as a free-spirited, undaunted, dreamer and a painter.
Starring alongside Adnan Malik and Sanam Saeed, ‘Dil Banjaara’ tells the story of three young individuals – a photographer, a painter and an ace student, coming of age in urban Pakistan.
Directed by Sirajul Haq with camerawork from the team that lit up ‘Mann Mayal’, ‘Dil Banjaara’ is only two episodes in, but is gripping audiences across Pakistan.
‘Dil Banjaara’ airs on Hum TV every Friday at 8pm.
Mira Sethi is a Pakistani journalist and actress. Sethi was a Robert L Bartley fellow and an assistant book editor at the Wall Street Journal and also contributed political commentary for the newspaper, particularly on the subject of Pakistan. Her career at the Journal lasted about two and a half years.
In 2011, Sethi returned to Pakistan to pursue an acting career. Her first role was playing Natasha in the ARY Digital serial drama ‘Silvatain’. She followed it with ‘Muhhabat Subh Ka Sitara Hai’, which aired on Hum TV. Sethi continues to write both fiction and journalism.
