Larkana police arrested 3,434 criminals in a year, says SSP

Senior Superintendent of Police, Larkana, Masood Ahmed Bangash, while talking to newsmen here on Sunday has claimed that during his one year posting as SSP Larkana, police have arrested as many as 3,434 proclaimed offenders, absconders, drug dealers and elements of social evils which include 804 proclaimed offenders of law.

He said 141 encounters took place during past one year with the criminals during which 41 were arrested in injured condition and 60 gangs were busted. He said large number of arms were also recovered from the criminals which include 12 KK, rocket launchers, bombs, hand grenades, shells, 147 pistols, 76 short guns, 60 revolvers and huge quantity of bullets. Bangash further claimed that during 10th October 2018 when he was posted here as SSP till to date, approximately 200 stolen or snatched bikes and five cars were also recovered. He said during drive against drug dealers and peddlers eight kg heroin, 465 kg hashish, 5746 kg cannabis, 1438 bottle Sharab, 65 kg opium, 1300 grams ice, 500 grams crystal and large quantity of ghutka were also confiscated.
