PESHAWAR: The Counter Terrorism Department arrested two members of banned militant Islamic State (IS) group during a raid in the provincial capital on Monday, officials said.
They said the arrested men were accomplices of two terrorists who were held a few days ago while distributing pamphlets in Tehkal.
“The CTD during a raid in Tehkal arrested two men namely Aftab and Talha. They had escaped a CTD raid earlier in which two Daesh members were held while distributing pamphlets to recruit the locals,” said CTD officials. The officials said the arrested men were luring people for recruitment in Daesh. The arrested men were shifted to an unknown place for interrogation.
