PEMRA seals two cable operators’ offices

SARGODHA: The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has sealed two cable operator’s offices in the district for airing Indian channels.

During an operation against the cable operators involved in illegal Direct to Home (DTH) service and telecasting Indian channels, PEMRA’s teams seized the DTH devices and issued warnings.

This was stated by PEMRA Assistant General Manager (AGM) Rana Malik Qasim Nawaz on Tuesday and further said that the crackdown would continue and stern action would be taken against those violating the government’s instructions.
