Imran advises PM to probe into Quetta’s security lapses

QUETTA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday demanded an investigation to determine the security lapses that led to the Quetta attack, a local TV channel reported.

Imran Khan said that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif should focus on Balochistan and Quetta’s administration and ‘do that more often since the province was highly sensitive and under terrorism’s threats’.

The PTI chief said that this wasn’t the first time such a major terrorist attack had taken place in Quetta but was the second time in the same year that Quetta was targeted.

Khan further rubbished the government representatives’ claim that the PTI is calling militant wings to participate in Islamabad’s lockdown protest. “They are spreading propaganda as this is absolutely untrue,” he said.
