KARACHI: United Business Group (UBG) chief spokesman Gulzar Firoz has said that the efforts of Zubair Tufail have brought result and finance minister announced that the sales tax refund would be paid to the tune of Rs 30 billion by 31st October 2016.
The minister also announced that income tax refund would all be paid by 31st December 2016. Gulzar Firoz subsequently and leading exporters of Towel Naqi Bari also member of Core Committee UBG highly appreciated the efforts of Zubair Tufail in resolving the pending rebate issue.
They said that on the direction of Chairman Iftikhar Ali Malik and Patron-in-Chief S.M. Munir, ZubairTufail regularly visited Islamabad and persuaded the Ministry of Finance to agree to give the refunds to exporters so that the liquidity crunch faced by exporters is made easy and help the exporters to make further efforts to increase the exports.
