Vehicles, buildings on fire after oil tanker crashed

RAWALPINDI: An oil tanker caught fire after capsizing in Gulrez Colony – a private housing scheme – enflaming five vehicles and three buildings.

Reportedly, the tanker crashed with a restaurant’s generator at high speed. However, the rescue and fire-fighters’ team timely arrived at the scene and started to evacuate the adjacent buildings.

A motorcycle, a private bank and four other cars were completely destroyed in the blaze, yet no casualty was reported in the incident. The firemen managed to put out the flames but the cooling process is still underway.
