A labourer died when a donkey cart hit a landmine here on Tuesday, Levies source said. The incident took place in Gogi Nullah area of tehsil Lehri in Sibi where a donkey cart struck a landmine planted by unknown miscreants. Due to explosion, a labourer Sikandar s/o Waris died on the spot. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Sibi where it was handed over to heirs after legal formalities.

The Levies personnel collected the evidences from the scene and started investigation. Three people have been killed in landmine explosions in various districts of Balochistan during last one week. Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police foiled a bid of terrorism and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition in Kohat and Kurram districts. According to reports, two smugglers were also arrested in this connection.
