Khan directs members of KP Assembly to resign

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Assembly members have been directed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to tender their resignations to the provincial chief minister, sources confirmed.

It has also been reported that the PTI chairman will announce his own resignation from the provincial assembly during the sit-in.

Meanwhile, KP Assembly Member Zareen Zia said that we will immediately tender our resignations upon the chief minister’s demand. KP Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattack has also been directed to accept the resignations from the assembly members as they can be tendered any time during the sit-in.

The sources have also confirmed that Khattack would take resignations from all his party members as they official announcement to resign from the assembly – which could be made by Khan any time. The opposition parties have started counselling over the matter as the news surfaced.
