229 new dengue cases surface in Karachi

At least 229 more dengue fever cases were detected in Karachi city during last 24-hours, taking the reported cases’ toll to 10,289 since the January 1, 2019.

Spokesman Prevention and Control Program for Dengue (PCPD) Sindh, while talking to PPI, informed that as many as 247 new dengue fever cases emerged across the Sindh province in a day, out of them 229 were detected in Karachi and 18 in other districts. A total 32 people had been died due to dengue fever in government and private sector health facilities of the city this year so far. In November, a total of 1,445 dengue positive cases surfaced cross the province out of these cases 1,313 were confirmed from Karachi and 132 from other districts.
