LANDIKOTAL: The residents of Jamrud tehsil of the Khyber Agency on Wednesday demanded of the government issuance of Computerised National Identity Cards (CNIC) as being a must for the rightful citizens of the country.
Addressing a press conference at the Landi Kotal press club on, Munawar Khan Mulagori, along with dozens of his relatives said that due to unknown reasons they had been declared alien and had been refused National Identity Cards by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
The members demanded that they were natives and aboriginal residents of Mulagori and were presently living in tehsil Landi Kotal. “The political administration can recall tribal elders of the Mulagori tribe and can confirm our identity” Munawar Khan regretted.
They appealed to the high ups of the administration and other authorities to forthwith address their anxiety, accept them as true citizens of Pakistan and issue them ID cards.
