KARACHI: Maritime Security Agency (MSA) has captured the largest drug haul of its history during an operation in the open sea, a private news channel reported on Thursday.
MSA director general talking to media has said that more than 2,400 kg of contraband substance have been captured in an operation in open sea. Nine suspects including three foreign nationals were arrested and a boat was taken into custody in the operation, the MSA official said.
The captured drugs value more than 1.5 billion rupees in the international market, the official said. The MSA official also presented nine arrested men including three foreign citizens before the media. He said that the Pakistani national identity cards have also been recovered from the arrested foreign nationals. The identity of an arrested man yet to be recognized, he added.
