Police ‘arrest’ two political activists outside Lal Haveli

RAWALPINDI: Police on Thursday apprehended two political activists from outside the Lal Haveli.

According to media reports, the workers were taken into custody and were reportedly dragged before being thrown into police vehicles present on the spot.

Earlier, there was a police crackdown during a convention of the PTI’s youth wing in Islamabad. Several members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) youth wing were arrested. A video footage showed police and Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel baton-charging and taking away the party workers in a bus from the venue of the convention.
