Dr Asim under medical observation after paralysis attack

KARACHI: Under trial former federal petroleum minister Dr Asim underwent medical tests at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) after complains of paralysis attack on his left flank of the body, JPMC sources confirmed.

Dr Jawaid Akhter Jamali, Focal Person JPMC, talking to Daily Times said that Dr Asim was advised for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan test while a medical board was also pondering into his health status.

“A medical board, comprising big names of the city, is examining the patient and investigation is still in progress,” Dr Jamali added.

Dr Asim was admitted after ailment and he is still in treatment besides he is under going psychotherapy, he stated.

Dr Asim has already been facing pain in his right side of chest, he added.

Dr Asim, a close aide of former president Asif Ali Zardari, has been booked on a complaint of Rangers for allegedly treating and harboring suspected terrorists, militants and gangsters at the North Nazimabad and Clifton branches of his hospital.
