Pakistan to face Malaysia in Asian Hockey Champions Trophy semi-final

KUANTAN: Pakistan will take on hosts Malaysia whereas India will face South Korea in the semi-finals of the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy being played in the city of Kuantan, a private news channel reported.

The semi-final between Pakistan and Malaysia will be played this evening. Pakistan started off their campaign in a poor fashion as they lost to Malaysia 4-2 and India by 3-2 in their league matches. However, the team kept their hopes alive in the competition after beating Korea 1-0 and Japan 4-3.

They sealed their place in the semi-final stage of the competition by defeating China 4-0. India will take on South Korea in the second semi-final of the tournament today.
