Talk about a starry night! The celebrities of Pakistan poured in to Karachi for the first ever Hum Style Awards which was – it would suffice to say – the apex of red carpet season so far. We were enamoured by the style the stars flaunted.
These were the first ever style awards so everyone who showed up did so in their very best. Awards shows are always supposed to be a glamourous event but that doesn’t always mean every one nails their looks. Here are my picks for the best of the night:
Mahira Khan looked like a million bucks in a RizwanBeyg sari paired with an off-the-shoulder blouse. She accessorised her look with a statement choker. The pretty actress looked so fresh – it was her night all the way! Mahira has become an ace of the red carpet, culminating in this massively captivating look. So much about this look is beautiful – not the least, the woman wearing it.
RemaTaseer looked splendid in a black number. She completed her look with a hard to ignore Remaluxe statement neckpiece. Her hair style was on fleek – I loved her bubble ponytail. Simply put, she nailed it!
I was all for this super cute couple’s looks – Hassan Ahmed and Sunita Marshal, who wore an embroidered floral yellow Nomi Ansari gown. The starlet was shining in this vivid hue. They were slaying the red carpet together.
Sisters Huma and Uzma Khan totally shone as they stepped on the red carpet together. Who doesn’t love a sister-act? Huma wore a glitzy black sequined Mahin Karim Jumpsuit. Uzma paired a black crop top with a Zara faux fur piece, Gucci pants and a sparkling Judith Leiber clutch. They looked beyond glam in their all black ensembles, with edgy manicures and gorgeous accessories.
Syra Shahroz’s Temperley ensemble was something totally cool and great and funky – just like she is. She’s becoming one of my favourite stars! Why? The star is a talented and aspiring actress and oh yeah, her style is killer!
