PTI to challenge imposition of Section 144 in court

LAHORE: Punjab Assembly’s Opposition Leader Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed said on Sunday that his party will challenge Section 144 in court, a local news channel reported.

Rasheed warned the provincial government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) legal action – if either Lahore is sealed with containers or PTI workers are arrested.

The PTI leader said that the protesters will reach the federal capital via public transport – even if the government seals Lahore.

“I want to ask whether Pervez Rashid was the only one responsible for the leakage of the news story regarding the national security or was he just a pawn,” the leader questioned.

He said that the issue gets extremely serious if the conspiracy came forth from the Prime Minister House and demanded the guilty to be placed in the Exit Control List.
