Mukhtaran Mai will be walking the ramp this FPW

Author: Web Desk

Mukhtaran Mai, who is a gang-rape survivor, is all set to walk on the ramp for the well-known Rozina Munib designer at Fashion Pakistan Week 2016.

Mukhtaran Mai is not just a survivor and fighter but she is also a role model for women empowerment in our country. She will be flying all the way to Karachi to be a part of this fashion week.

The actual reason behind this act is to make people aware of the fact that how many women in Pakistan have lost lives in the name of honour killing and what not.

Mukhtaran Mai is an outspoken advocate for women’s rights and she started the Mukhtar Mai Welfare Organisation to support and impart education to the women and girls of Pakistan. She’s also a recipient of North-South Prize from the Council of Europe.
