Nawaz summons Jhagra to capital to discuss options

ISLAMABAD: Although the federal government has made it clear that Governor rule was not an option in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,

KPK Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhugra has been summoned to the capital and discussed various options with his bosses. Sources told Daily Times that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his cabinet members discussed in detail the whole current political situation here at the Prime Minister House and took decisions to maintain law and order in the federal capital during Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf protest and call for a lockdown in the city. Interior minister Chaudhry Nisar, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Law Minister Zahid Hamid and others attended meeting and discussed Pervez Rashid’s termination to investigate the scandal of the leaked story in an English newspaper. A high level investigation committee will be formed soon to investigate the details, according to sources. Sources said that the federal government was considering various options including imposition of Governor rule in KPK and for this purpose KPK Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhugra was summoned in the capital for crunch talks.
