15000 law enforcement officials will be guarding Karachites on Eid

KARACHI: On the occasion of Eid ul Fitar security officials will be performing their duties for three days .

Despite living in the same city they will be away from their families and would be deputed for the security of karachities.

On other hand other government servants are going to avail five days vacations including Saturday and Sunday while these security officials will be on duty on the same days.

While talking to Daily Times police a official told that being servant we have to do this it is our duty, yes family is important but they should also understand that this is our duty and we have to do it any how.

One more police official said that now technology has changed and because of internet we keep connected with our family as we get free time Of course we miss them but our duty is first.

Rangers officials said that really it is a hard time when we see other people with their families enjoying and hanging around with their children but we get satisfaction that because of our security they would be able to enjoy in secure atmosphere which makes us feel proud.

On other hand Sindh Home Minister Suhail Anwar Siyal has ordered to keep the security at high alert and be fully prepared to face any unpleasant situation during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays.

According to Mummtaz Mehar Additional Inspector General Karachi more than 15000 police men would perform security duties on Eid and would guard religious gatherings at open places, mosques and imambargahs.

Police officials have also been assigned security duties in this connection at mosques and imambargahs. The Bomb Disposal Squad would conduct checking of various areas and parking will not be allowed near worship places or congregation.

Policemen have been assigned duties at bus stands, graveyards and railway stations while special deployment will also be made at all big Mosques and Eid Gahas on Eid day.
