PESHAWAR: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) retreat call from November 2, lockdown sparked anger and disappointment among PTI workers and leaders from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The office bearer from Insaf Student Federation (ISF), local body representative and chunk of lawmakers from the provincial assembly blasted over Imran Khan for announcing the call off of sit-in decision.

The move came after PTI Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday announced to hold himself back from its determination to shut down the capital on November 2, rejoiced over the Supreme Court decision to persue Panama paper revelation case against the Prime Minister and his family.

Hilariously, the decision came at time when KP Chief Minister along with its more than ten thousands of workers retreated from Burhan interchange.

Pervez Khattak after its failed attempt to reach Bani Gala spent night under open sky with his thousands of supporters eventually back to KP to make an alternative plan to access to Islamabad but in meanwhile its party chief annulled the sit in.

The movement of PTI workers and leaders on the call of its party chairmen Imran Khan against the Pakistan Muslim League Nawz (PML-N) once again ended at indecisive and disappointed turn.

The workers, leaders of the provincial assembly and councils severely criticized the retreat of PTI against PML-N.

Office bearer of the ISF told Daily Times on the request of anonymity that it was not a logical decision for Imran Khan being chairman of a major political party when thousands of its party workers across the country dig hard to reach Bani-Gala on his call and he declares the sit-in off.

A group of PTI leaders and representative of district council Peshawar on the plea of anonymity termed the announcement and cancellation of Dharna call a failure of the leadership and policies.

They claimed that millions of amounts have been spent by PTI MPAs, MNAs and local body’s members but nothing came out of its hard work and spoiling money. “It would be better in future for PTI leadership in KP to step wisely and unite against every decision issued from Bani- Gala if they interested to remain in the politics and wish to contest the next general election” members advised.

Member of the Mardan district council also lash out the reversal call of the PTI chairman from November 2 and called it an act of embarrassment for its tigers in the district.

He also wish to keep his name secret said that since Imran Khan announced the date for Islamabad siege every worker of the PTI in the district opposed it and called it an unwise and immature way of politics.

Referring the emotional speech of the education minister Atif Khan before setting out for lockdown source said that the minister’s slot from the KP have been embarrassed by Khan when announced the Dharna cancelled without any apparent reason.

Celebration over the death and shelling of its own party workers across the country was anther unwise decision of Imran Khan. Members said that the party senior must understand that most of precious time has lapsed from the hand of PTI leadership and time has come to put concentration over some of pragmatic initiatives as time for election very close.

The federal government has been under growing pressure from opposition parties, mainly PTI, which had vowed lockdown of Islamabad with the help of one million supporters on Wednesday.
