ISLAMABAD: The Federal Bureau of Revenue (FBR) on Monday extended the deadline for filing income tax returns.
The deadline was going to end on October 31, 2016. It has now been further extended up to November 15, 2016, stated an official notification.
Similarly, the date of filing of returns of final taxation which was due on September 30, 2016 for individuals and associations of persons has also been further extended to November 15, 2016.
Likewise the date of filing of returns of total income/statements of final taxation of companies whose returns were due on October 31, 2016 has also been further extended up to November 15, 2016.
The FBR has taken this step in exercise of the powers conferred under section 214-A of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001.
