Philanthropist Imran Chaudhry — truly an unsung overseas Pakistani hero

Author: News Desk

Throughout Pakistan’s history the overseas Pakistani community has played a huge and significant role in the welfare of Pakistan. Many of these outstanding champions’ services have been highlighted in public. However, there are many who have and are continuing to help and support Pakistan’s community welfare projects and are still out of the public glare, nor have they asked for any glory.

Amongst these outstanding community welfare angels is philanthropist, property and business tycoon Imran Chaudhry of Dubai, said Shahzada Hayat, president of the UICF (UK) and international community welfare activist.

Imran Chaudhry, a Dubai-based multimillionaire, has dedicated most of his life to help and support the worthy causes in Pakistan. His generosity of donating millions of pounds of his personal wealth and helping to raise funds for the cancer hospital and education projects in Pakistan speaks volumes. The Dubai-based Pakistani philanthropist has been one of the instrumental and key players in fostering a strong bond between Dubai and Pakistan.

Shahzada Hayat went on to say, “One of the great achievements of Imran Chaudhry was his work with Imran Khan’s cancer hospital and HRH Princess Diana, where Imran Chaudhry played a pivotal role in supporting and promoting HRH Princess Diana’s visit to Pakistan in 1996.”

Prime Minister Imran Khan has always acknowledged Imran Chaudhry’s huge service to Pakistan. When HRH Princess Diana visited Pakistan, Imran Khan bestowed the honour on Imran Chaudhry to receive and welcome HRH Princess Diana and his former wife Jemima Goldsmith-Khan. The Pakistani prime minister also invited Imran Chaudhry to join him when HRH Prince Charles invited Imran Khan to a special event in London.

Imran Chaudhry stood by Prime Minister Imran Khan throughout his journey to show his full faith that Imran Khan is truly a great leader who will take Pakistan from strength to strength. Imran Chaudhry shares the premier’s vision for Naya Pakistan (New Pakistan). The overseas Pakistani community has commended the outstanding charitable service of Imran Chaudhry to Pakistan’s health and education projects.

The overseas Pakistani community has urged the Pakistani government to bestow the nation’s highest civilian award to philanthropist Imran Chaudhry for his services to Pakistan.
