Galactic Veil

Prometheus chained

by the four-cornered walls

of my fragile

snowed head

and bounden

and the first spinning

drifts of love

that they took away

by calling those immortal embers

only water and jelly

and there her body the

curve of a decaying tissue

that must swirl the dance of decay

and the lizards lambent tongue

lashed

as a feather that became a plume

when the mouth screamed its rage

heave the globe of darkness

for here

there is no sadness in this

wonder

only the stellar insignificance

of brief moments in the lighted

flash of a womb that quietly

obeys its congruent

trajectory of flights to other earths.
