Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has announced to hold a public gathering in Karachi on October 18.

Addressing a public gathering in Larkana in connection with the by-election for PS-11, the PPP chief said the party will hold a public gathering in Karachi on October 18 against the inflation and worst economic policies of the incumbent government. He said the PPP government introduced Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and enhanced pension by 100 per cent during their tenure. “We also faced economic crisis during our tenure, but PPP and then president Asif Zardari didn’t put the burden on masses and figured out the situation brilliantly,” he added.

Bilawal reiterated that PPP will never accept any conspiracy against the province. “PPP will not allow Centre to occupy the capital of Sindh province,” he said, and chanted slogans of ‘Marsoon Marsoon Sindh Na Daisoon’.

Bilawal said the ‘selected’ government of ‘puppets’ is responsible for economic murder of masses and that the current regime will be sent packing soon. He said small traders and farmers are being murdered financially and masses are drowning into a tsunami of price hike.

He went on to say that Prime Minister Imran Khan promised employment in the country. He said the prime minister also promised to build five million houses, out of which not even a single one has been made so far. “Shops and homes of the poor have been destroyed in the name of policy. Where did his all promises go?” he asked.

Speaking on an anti-government march planned by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl, the PPP chairman said he is lending political and moral support to the JUI-F chief.

The scion of Bhutto family asserted that he is fighting the ‘selected’ and ‘puppet’ government, while asking the people to support him in his struggle against the current ‘bloodsucking’ leadership. He said the PTI-government cannot give relief to the people as they are sucking the blood of the poor.
