Author: Ali Jan Maqsood

Author and songwriter Bronnie Ware is a great humanitarian, serving the ill. She came up with disparate dying people who had most regrets of how they spent there lives and how they should have had, but past is never brought back, howbeit, the memories and regrets it carries.

This book by Bronnie Ware is based on 52 reflectional stories on regret-free living; the stories relating to her personal experiences in life along with those spent with dying people.

The book mostly inspires its readers with encouraging words and phrases and tell us to be hopeful, be ourselves, be honest, show compassion and gratitude, the importance of apologising and so on.

More importantly, she beautifully sketches the importance of making right choices at right timings. In one of the essays of the book (Power of choices), there appeared a nice sentence “Having decided not to choose previously was also a choice,” which rectified me personally that yes! I have been making choices, howbeit, unconsciously by choosing to cease my feet in moving forward my desired destination. Then I realised what I have been wanting, have been wanting me too, but the only things that made the difference was the right choice I have been ignoring.

On the other hand, Ware put one of a nice essays which titled “Things to cheer you up.” It was so interesting to have it read and even more exciting it felt to practice them in practical life. I have benefited myself a lot with the assistance of this chapter which asked simply to have colours and drawings, making a list of the best qualities you possess, have some time spent with nature, ban yourself from computers (I tried with banning myself from technologies for some time), call a friend who can make you laugh, dress in something special (I tried dressing in something new from my surrounding), visiting someone special and many more. It was so interesting to have most of them practiced and enjoyed a lot along with getting much to learn of life and not to regret after I reach the age of death.

This book is really so special. It is a wondering guidance of spending a life worth remembering over and again. It encourages one to fly to the highest level of reach and enjoy life with uncountable smiles and happiness spread around them.

Nevertheless, this book unveils how special you truly are. It makes you look inside of you to dig out the best version of yourself. Besides these all, it helps in disappearing the clouds of worrisome and enjoying the life to the fullest.
