GUJRANWALA: Eid will be celebrated in Gujranwala under tight security. Thousands of police officers and officials have been deputed at important places including mosques, important roads and buildings to protect the citizens from any mishap. While on the directions of the home department a search operation was conducted in central jail, in which a security team visited different parts of the jail, checked the security arrangements and also inspected the barracks of the prisoners. Superintendent Jail Ch. Asghar said that on the directions of home department all the jail staff has been asked to be on duty during the Eid holidays.
