Man attempts suicide over domestic issues

RAWALPINDI: A man attempted suicide over domestic issue within the Saddar Baironi Police precincts on Sunday.

According to the information received by police, Hassan, a resident of Saddar Baironi, had an argument with his wife after which, he took poisonous capsules. He was then taken to a local hospital. The doctors gave immediate aid and saved his life. The police have registered a case and started investigation.

FIR registered: An FIR was registered against a man for allegedly threatened a woman within the Saddar Bahorni Police precincts.

The woman, a resident of Saddar Baironi, lodged a complaint with the local police that Mushtaq brother-in-law of Shahid Ahmed had called her on the phone and threatened to murder her. Police have registered a case and started an investigation.

62 residential and commercial properties sealed: The Rawalpindi Excise and Taxation Department on Saturday sealed at least 62 residential and commercial properties for failing to pay property tax. The property owners were tax defaulters of over Rs 3 million. However, around Rs 1.6 million was recovered during operations in last one week and deposited in the national kitty. The operations against tax defaulters were started to achieve the required tax recovery targets.
