KARACHI: As the political climate gets higher within the country, its effects can also be seen abroad as it has been reported that Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan (MQM-Pakistan) have contacted the former president Pervaiz Musharraf in Dubai.

According to a private news channel, MQM-Pakistan leader Khawaja Izharul Hasan and former president of Pakistan Pervaiz Musharraf met in Dubai to meet the ongoing political scenario within the country and most specifically the situation within Karachi.

Moreover, Khawaja Izharul Hasan also conveyed the message of MQM-Pakistan head Farooq Sattar to Pervaiz Musharraf. Both the leaders also discussed the possible future role of the former president in Karachi’s political situation. The pictures of the meeting have also gone viral over the internet; however, MQM-Pakistan is not in mood to express anything whatsoever in this regard.

The spokesperson of the MQM-Pakistan termed the news as merely rumours and expressed that no kind of political affiliation with any party is not still under consideration.
