KP CM examines security arrangements for PM visit

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan paid a visit to Landi Kotal on Tuesday to examine the arrangements for Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s visit to Torkham. The CM arrived to the Torkham border in the evening and viewed the final preparations that were made for the PM visit on Wednesday. According to the Torkham administration, the Torkham bazaar as well as the Pak-Afghan border in Torkham would be suspended from Tuesday midnight till 06:00 pm on Wednesday. All security measures had been adopted to avoid any untoward incident, the official said. The PM would visit Torkham to formally inaugurate the scheme of keeping the border open round the clock.
