Kashmir conflict

Author: Daily Times

Sir: The Kashmir is a territorial dispute between India and Pakistan, the India claims the entire states of Jammu and Kashmir and as of 2010, administering 43 percent of the state (Kashmir), including most of Jammu, the Kashmir valley, Kazakh and the Siachen Glacier. India’s claim is contested by Pakistan, which controls 37 percent of Kashmir, namely Azad Jammu and Gilgit-Baltistan.

China has 20 percent area of Kashmir. Both Indian and Pakistan have battled three wars, hundreds of people have lost their lives in between wars in Kashmir. This issue was still lingering till August 5, 2019 when India removed his constitutional amendment that was protecting Kashmir status as independent state.

Now, from onward August 5, curfew is imposed till date in Kashmir. Hope both our governments will realize that only bilateral talks is the solution of Kashmir.
