LAHORE: Arthur Nayyar, popularly known as A Nayyar, passed away after a protracted illness on Friday. He was 66.

A Nayyer appeared on the scene in 1970’s. He was a famous singer of 1970’s and 80’s and gave many memorable songs. He began his career as a singer from film Bahisht in 1974. His first film song ‘Yunhin din cut jayen, yuhin shaam dhal jaye’ was a duet song with Rubina Badar in film Bahisht.

Meanwhile, President Mamnoon Hussain has expressed deep condolence over the sad demise of the singer.
