Minister opens girls primary school in Kohat

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary & Secondary Education Muhammad Atif Khan along with Chairman Standing Committee for Information, Zia Ullah Bangash has inaugurated a girls primary school of six rooms and six teachers at Muhammad Zai area of Kohat on Friday. According to a hand out of information department the total cost of the project was Rs 10 million and Rs 3.4 million while before the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Government two rooms and two teachers have been hired from primary schools but after the PTI Government now primary school has six rooms and six teachers. On the occasion Muhmmad Atif Khan said that PTI government has established merit in every department of the province and no compromise on merit. He said that for the last three years around 40,000 teachers has been recruited across the province on merit. He further said that for the first time in the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 28 per cent budget has been spend on education sector of the province.Around Rs 1.7 billion has been spend on schools to provide basic facilities to the students, he added. He further informed that in 2.1 million students around 1.7 million students have been provided furniture in their class rooms while around 84,000 teachers have been trained under the British High Commission support program. Minister Atif said because of the presence of teachers in schools, due to on-line action management introduced that improved the performance and presence of teachers in schools. He directed the education department to provide all facilities to the Kohat schools, adding that PTI government agenda is to educate our next generation and provide all opportunities and facilities to them. On the occasion Zia Ullah Bangash thanked the education minister for visiting Kohat, adding that PTI government in the province has change the lives of the people.
