AJK president warns world to act on Kashmir before it’s ‘too late’

Author: Staff Report

Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Ahmad Khan Monday warned that if the civilised world continued to ignore Indian aggression and hegemonic designs in South Asia, the resulting war would not confine to the region but badly affect lives of over 2.5 billion people of the adjoining areas.

Addressing the oath taking ceremony of the first batch of Kashmir Volunteers registered by the National Kashmir Alliance (NKA) here at Alhamra, the AJK president said after annexing Held Kashmir, India is trying to occupy lands, rivers and valleys of Pakistan by infiltrating and settling millions of Hindu extremists in the valley. He said people in Pakistan are highly charged to avenge the Indian aggression in the occupied valley. He warned India to realize that such enthusiastic and spirited Kashmir Volunteers will never allow it to occupy Kashmir and will counter New Delhi’s aggressive designs on every front and platform all over the world.

He said the attempt to remove disputed status of Kashmir is in fact an Indian attack on Pakistan’s security and solidarity, but warned that the war started by Modi will be concluded by the Muslims of Kashmir, Pakistan and South Asia. He said entire Pakistan and world community is standing behind the Kashmiri people. He expressed regrets that nearly a month-long curfew has pushed the entire Kashmiri population to the brink of collapse due to starvation, lack of medication and merciless genocide by Indian army. He urged upon the young Kashmir Volunteers to rise and make Pakistan one of the strongest countries of the world.

Sardar Masood expressed gratitude for Muhammad Ali Durrani and NKA for making a strong case of the Kashmiri Muslims in the country, hoping that after he will succeed in making entire Lahore stand up with him, the whole Pakistan will follow the suit.

Speaking on the occasion, NKA patron and former information minister Muhammad Ali Durrani said Kashmir Volunteers have declared that every Pakistani is standing behind their Kashmiri brethren. He said NKA aims at raising 220 million volunteers for Kashmir from Pakistan, and announced that the next batch will comprise one hundred thousand volunteers. He said the day is not far when entire 220 million Pakistanis will stand by their armed forces to become soldiers of Kashmir freedom movement and protectors of human rights of Kashmiris.

Durrani said he has been making contacts all over the world for raising volunteers and supporters for the Kashmiri Muslims, and feels pleasure that notables and common people from all over the world are supporting the Kashmir cause. He also announced that Kashmir Volunteers will go to every country of the world to garner support for the Kashmir freedom struggle, adding that they will move International Court of Justice to charge India of war crimes in Held Kashmir and ensure plebiscite there to allow Kashmiris their right to self-determination as guaranteed by the UNSC resolutions.

The Kashmir Volunteers present in the oath taking ceremony included men, women and children representing the minorities like Christians, Sikhs and Hindus also.

NKA leader Prof Hamida Tariq, chief organizer Mian Mustafa Rasheed, LCCI Vice President Khwaja Shahzad Nasir and office bearers Khalid Hussain and Faheemur Rehman Sehgal, Zafar Mehmood, Maqsood Butt, Rai Ahmad Nawaz, Hussain Ali Durrani, Sunni Chaudhri and Ahmad Bajwa also addressed the ceremony.
