Islamabad, Rawalpindi shaken by mild quake

ISLAMABAD: A mild earthquake – measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale – was felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and adjoining areas on Tuesday.

According to reports, tremors were also felt in Chitral, Swat, Buttagram, Noshehra, Lahore and different parts of Punjab.

Epicenter of the quake was 179 kilometre deep at Hindukash Mountains in Afghanistan.

No reports of loss of life and property have been received so far.
