Sir: Recent monsoon rains in Karachi and some other parts of Sindh had played havoc. Reportedly, at least 27 people were killed; 24 in Karachi and 46 were injured in rain-related incidents including 18 people who were electrocuted in Sindh during the latest rains from August 10 to 12.
Keeping troublesome situations in mind, Sindh CM Syed Murad Ali Shah chaired a meeting of Ministers and officials at CM house to review rain emergency and prevent Sindh citizens from monsoon rains. For this purpose 141 heavy dewatering pumps were provided in Sindh’s big cites. In case of rain in Sindh any area, these dewatering pumps will be send there to ensure public safety.
Sindh government efforts are meritorious and I request federal government to support Sindh government in this regard.
