ISLAMABAD: The 25th Men and 8th Women’s National Judo Championships will be held in the third week of December, a spokesman for the Pakistan Judo Federation (PJF) said here Tuesday. He said that for the first time the PJF was organising Men and Women’s Judo Championships simultaneously.
The championships will be held in accordance to the rules of the International Judo Federation. As many as 14 units of the PJF including four provinces, Pakistan Army, Pakistan WAPDA, Pakistan Railway, Pakistan Police, Pakistan Navy, Higher Education Commission, FATA, Islamabad, AJK, Gilgit Baltistan, will participate in the championships. “An opportunity to represent Pakistan internationally in upcoming international events will be provided to champions of the national championships as well as advance judo training will also be provided under the coaching of foreign judo coach in the national judo training camp,” the spokesman added.
