Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said on Wednesday that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led government would be in trouble if he issued another call to his party workers to take to the streets. Talking to media persons, the PTI chairman said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was facing a criminal investigation. Addressing the premiere, Khan said, “The entire nation is convinced that you are a criminal. People are waiting for my call to take to the streets.” Khan said that the prime minister’s talk to the media in London had made it clear that the final verdict in the Panama Leaks case was going to be against him. He said Sharif himself was responsible for dragging his children’s names into the scandal. Khan said that the prime minister had been asked to respond to 13 questions but he failed to do so. The cricketer-turned-politician also criticised Sharif for not visiting Quetta and Parachinar to mourn the loss of lives and to inquire after those injured in terrorist attacks ahead of Eidul Fitr. In a tweet over the issue, Khan said, “[It is] Unfortunate [that] PM only chose to visit Bahawalpur. People are in mourning in Quetta and Parachinar also. Is NS [Nawaz Sharif] not the PM of Balochistan and FATA?” Khan said that smaller provinces must not be overlooked. On Bahawalpur tragedy, Khan said the Sharif brothers had been ruling Punjab for 25 years now. Who was to be held responsible for the lack of burn units, he asked.
