Four workers killed in Hangu mudslide

HANGU: Four labourers were killed when a mudslide fell on them in Karbogha Sharif in Thall tehsil on Wednesday, official sources said.

They said that Wali Din, Imam Din, Rasheed and Zainullah were loading a tractor-trolley with mud when a mudslide fell on them and trapped them under the debris.

Following the incidents, the locals rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation. They retrieved the bodies after four hours of hectic efforts.

The bodies were shifted to the hospital for medico legal formalities and later handed over to the relatives for burial.

Motorcyclist killed by speeding vehicle: One person riding a motorcycle was killed by a speeding vehicle on the Dera Ismail Khan-Draban Road near Gundi Ashiq on Wednesday, official sources said.

They said that one Abdul Sattar, 50, was on his way home on Dera-Draban road falling in the limits of the Draban Police Station when a speeding vehicle struck his motorcycle, killing him on the spot.

The driver managed to flee the scene.

The body after autopsy in the District Headquarters Hospital in DI Khan was handed over to the family members for burial.

Meanwhile, two brothers identified as Abdur Rehman and Fazlur Rehman sustained bullet injuries when Jamshed and Sherdad allegedly fired at them in Draban area.

The injured were shifted to the hospital where their condition was stated to out of danger.
